I am writing this letter of recommendation for Jen Appel the owner of The Canine Concierge. Jen was referred to us from friends to help us when we were heading out of town and needed help with our dog Maverick. Jen was wonderful and came over to our home prior to meet us and our dog. She was great/friendly/positive and it felt like we had known her for years. After a brief meeting with us and our dog we knew that she would be a great fit. We set the time and dates for her and she confirmed prior and was very flexible. We have had our dog for 12+ years and Jen is by far the BEST that we have found. Why, you might ask… She does exactly what she says she will do and then so much more. She takes pictures at each visit and sends you a text of your pet with a nice note. This is our favorite part and makes you feel great when you are away. She is more than fair on her prices and gives you more than promised. She treats your pet like they were hers and that is obvious in how they respond to her. You can tell that this is not a job or chore for Jen but a passion. We couldn’t be more confident in referring Jen to anyone that needs help with their pets. We know you will feel the same way. Jen is the best. She took care of one of our Yorkies and walked him 3 times a day as our other Yorkie could not go out as she was in a cast for her knee so I had to stay home with her as she was not allowed to walk outside. Pokie loved her... He is a little rescue dog and is shy. Jen had patience with him and got him to walk as he has not been separated from me for 2 year since he adopted us. I work at home so they are both with us 24/7 keeping us company. It took a lot for me to try Jen as I am very over protective of the babes. Jen has a kind, loving, gentle and calming energy about her. I k ow will be using her again as we trust her. She is the best. Very professional, always on time, and has a way with dogs. I just wanted to post a huge recommendation for Jen Appel of The Canine Concierge. I have never used anyone other than family to care for our beloved big dog Mariah. We don't go out of town very often, but a couple of weeks ago I found myself in a bind with no one to care for our baby. I had met Jen once at the Shell station and have seen her "dogmobile" around the lake, so I gave her a call. She was wonderful with Mariah. Jen's professional and personal touch was above and beyond what I expected. She sent text photos of my dog on walks, playing ball and right on the scheduled times that we had arranged. Not only that, but her fees were very reasonable. The best and most important point is that you can tell that Jen loves dogs & what she does. She's a natural! After many years of boarding our dogs Rocky and Penny, we decided try a pet sitter. We found Jen and she is awesome! After welcoming our little bundle of joy, Quincy, into our family recently at 8-weeks of age, we were quickly reminded of the special requirements of a young puppy. We first called Jen to look after our labrador retriever on the recommendation from a neighbor. She came by that day so we could all meet, and I could tell immediately that she would be great. Jen is a life saver! We had a family trip planned and a few weeks before we left we met a dog that we felt was a great fit with our family , Buster. We also have another dog, Bree, & we were worried about getting Buster and then leaving so soon after for 10 days. I spoke to Jenn and immediately my concerns were gone. Jenn come over while we were away three time a day. She kept us posted through text message as to how things were going and sent photos of our two babies. Our dogs are part of our family and there aren’t many people I would feel comfortable with taking care of them and entering into our home. I never had a doubt the whole time we were gone.
